My Homebrew High Pass Filter
I kept picking up local AM Broadcast from a nearby station so I had to add the high pass filter. I kept it in a seperate box so I could use it on all my little RockMite HF rigs.
Morse Code Device (MCD)
CW PRACTICE OPERATIONS
Here is a scan picture of my "proto-type" MCD code practice oscilator. For all the
info by the creator,
John Fisher, go to his web site.Soon, I will
list information on parts #'s from
DigiKey for those interested in making one.
John (K5JHF) mailed out the finisned board and it arrived
just in time for Christmas. I was very impressed with the quality of
the small board. Way to go John! I took these shots at 2X of the front
and back of the bare board, note the detailed labeling John put in
these. John is now building the MCD on a first come first serve basis.
If you would like to get one of these neet practice tools, just drop
him an e-mail.
This last is just one possible enclosure idea for the MCD, it used to be a wall charger in another life.
Tomorrow has come and the rest of the family has headed out to a family gathering. Now I can transfer my parts off the protoboard onto there new home. Here's the finished board. I just love this little MCD, it's easy to set up any practice style, single letters or words at a pace I feel comfortable with, and since I use my little radio headphones with it, I don't bug my family(bg) while I practice.

All of this is an ongoing experiment and my building techniques are still a bit
crude, but like anything else, the best way to get better, is,
practice, practice. Never be afraid to mess up, if
you don't goof up
once in a while, your probably not building.
